Michelle is a wife, mother, and concerned citizen with a strong heart for service.
She settled into life in the Low-country after marriage 7 years ago.
Michelle was appointed Commissioner of Charleston County Parks and Recreation by the county council in 2021 and leads food distributions at the Pink House, a neighborhood resource center. Never satisfied to sit on the sidelines, she has completed over 400 hours of service in the Charleston community.
Michelle used her platform as Mrs. Charleston America 2020 to promote financial education and is a member of the school board at her son’s school. She is a team leader of the Charleston Area Justice Ministry, a diverse network of faith-based organizations that work together to promote justice in Charleston.
Noah currently serves as a political strategist and as the President & CEO of Swamp Fox Strategies. He is 21 years old and is a senior at the University of South Carolina studying political science. Very selective of the clients he takes on, he instantly connected with Michelle and wanted to help her with her campaign.
Hunter met Michelle through their church. Hunter decided to get involved with the campaign because she is the mother to two black daughters. She thinks it's important that her daughters see black women in positions of power.
Christian King is not new to the world of politics. She ran for office herself in 2020 and has offered her help as a mentor in Michelle's campaign. She thinks Michelle has the lived experience to best represent their community.
