Ian and Summer are both college students that live at home and run a family pet-sitting business.

Ian's obsession with creating custom LEGO MOCs began when he was 5. When he got new sets he would ignore the instructions in favor of creating something unique of his own.

Ian and Summer have bonded over their shared love of LEGO; he can remember having a LEGO brick in his hand as long as he can remember, an obsession that he passed along to her.

They specialize in recreating household items in LEGO form that can almost pass for the original, but injected with a bit of whimsy. They take great satisfaction in using their talent with LEGO to make others laugh!

His 'Wii controller inside a TV' build enjoyed a bit of viral fame and was written up in a number of articles worldwide. Each time Beyond the Brick featured it on their Instagram it racked up over 2 million views!

Competion-wise, Ian has racked up some impressive wins--

• Third place with Brick Nerd's The Festival of Mundanity Contest

• First place in the Friendshiptember Contest

• First place in the Brego Challenge

• First place in the Ragzy Hope Challenge

In addition to building with LEGO, Ian enjoys competitive flag football, spikeball, and baseball, and hiking. Summer enjoys acting, photography, modeling, and sewing dresses and quilts.
