Sandy and Tanzi are the first to admit that they are the black sheep of both their families and the industry of Big Tech that they work in. Foregoing the analytical right-brained stereotypes, these two embrace their artistic and goofy sides. 

Meeting on the job while working at a Canadian tech company, Sandy and Tanzi quickly discovered a shared ability to not take themselves too seriously. Their friendship grew and they have been committed life partners for the last 6 years. 

Tanzi grew up in an immigrant family from Bangladesh, while Sandy immigrated from Hong Kong when she was 5. As the children of immigrant parents, both were eager to break out of the strict norms laid out by their families and gravitated toward artistic pursuits that better suited their personalities. 

When he's not working at his tech job, Tanzi loves digital art and is passionate about creating hyper-colorful patterns and designs for clothing. Also an artist, Sandy has poured her creative energy into LEGO. Even though they have a lot in common, they have distinct approaches when it comes to problem solving. Sandy's hyper personality causes her to jump into things, regardless of whether or not she has a fully thought out plan. Tanzi tries to keep her grounded with his much more methodical approach to planning. Even though they're energetic odd-balls on the outside, their careers have prepared them for tackling large projects under tight deadlines. 

More than anything, Sandy and Tanzi are very much in love and thankful that they were able to find their soulmate. Getting the opportunity to be creative together on LEGO Masters means the world to them, and the chance to win $100,000 would help give them a much-needed boost in an expensive city like Toronto. 

Sandy and Tanzi have been building with LEGO since they were children, but have spent the last few years honing in on SNOT techniques, hinges, and angles. They love building organic things, infusing aspects of whimsy and surprise into otherwise natural builds. 

Sandy loves to participate in LEGO Ideas challenges, and has been featured in various smaller Instagram hashtag building competitions.
